Rhythm of Hymns
Rhythm of Hymns
Rhythm of hymns is ringing in air
Chaps and lads are running for
fair
Colours and shadows and sparkle
and drums
Voices of jingles are asking to
come
Rattles and rings and rackets and
muffs
Calling of stars to alight the
earth
Gems of fire and pearlings of
deep
Ramming and peering asking for
treats
Kings and aces of frolics and fays
Praying and asking to delay the
day
Demons of famines dancing for
fare
Gritting on flowers and drooling
on hares
Presents for lord, adorned with
stones
Whites and pinks and dusky and
bones
Shading of clothes and wiping of
bloods
Lasses of gifts are wailing on
mud
Ringing of signs and flooding of
bowls
Crying of fairy with dancing of
ghouls
Nobles of glory are singing to
earth
Tempting the mighty to enrich the
dirt
Beneath the flowers of casket and
graves
There was no stiff, just ringlets
and shaves
Fuss of stars was brandished in
sky
Swarming of folks with chorus of
cry
Return of day, yearning to bestow
First spark fulfilled, ordaining
the final blow.
